In 1969 Bahco pioneered a new technique for cutting metal, combining the characteristics of
spring steel with wear-resistant, high-speed steel.
The two materials are welded together in a high vacuum environment, the teeth are then milled from
the high-speed steel, with the support of the tough and very flexible spring steel on the back.
The same technique is applied to Sandflex® bandsaw blades, power and hand hacksaw blades,
holesaws and reciprocating sawblades.
